Home Care Support
When the children leave the care of the hospital to go home it’s very stressful and challenging for the families. Medically fragile children are best cared for in a nurturing environment with their loving family members surrounding them. Qualifying a child for homecare under state health insurance or other government organizations takes an extraordinary amount of time and is difficult due to the many requirements the child and family must meet. Private insurances are costly and do not always cover “private duty care”.
We can assist you and advise you in the process of applying for “Private Duty Care” and “Respite care” with Medical or other government funded agencies. In the interim, we have a group of vocational nurses and clinical aids who will help you get set up when you are first going home with your child, if you need support for a few hours to breath and recharge, or for a few days when you are faced with a crisis.
